All students in the International Professional Programs, Calgary International Summer Program and English Language Program (under 65 years of age) are provided with emergency health insurance. Only students who have paid tuition fees in full for the term will be insured — it is your responsibility to ensure that your financial record is in good standing. You will receive an insurance card by email within two days of the program start date. You are insured from the first day to the last day of your program. You can purchase additional insurance before and after a program and between programs. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for more details.
If you will be living in Alberta for 12 months or more, you are eligible to register for the Alberta Health Care Insurance Plan (AHCIP). You must register within your first 90 days in Alberta — you are not automatically registered. Please visit the Province of Alberta website to learn more.
