Offered in collaboration with UCalgary Active Living, these technology-oriented courses are intended for youth aged 13 to 16.
Electronics for Young Inventors
This two-week, 60-hour summer camp teaches students about electricity, computer programming, and interaction design. Students will discover the science behind everyday electronics, and how energy can be harnessed to process information, control machines and communicate with the outside world.
Video Game Development for Secondary School Students
Learn both the creative and technical aspects of video game production, including principles of visual, graphic and game design, digital media tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and Flash for producing both still and animated graphics, and object-oriented programming for creating interactivity.
Students who complete all three courses will earn the Certificate in Video Game Development for Secondary School Students.
