Kibeom Lee, Ph.D. is Professor of Psychology at the University of Calgary. Originally from Seoul, South Korea, he was previously Assistant Professor at the University of Western Australia. He served as an associate editor of the Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology and currently serves on the editorial boards of the European Journal of Personality, Journal of Research in Personality, and Journal of Occupational and Organizational Psychology.
Dr. Lee obtained his Ph.D. degree from the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles, including several in high-impact journals such as Personality and Social Psychology Review, Journal of Personality and Social Psychology, Journal of Applied Psychology, and Personnel Psychology. His works have been cited over 5,700 times by scholars in psychology and related fields. Dr. Lee and his colleague Dr. Michael Ashton are widely known in personality psychology for their discovery of the H factor and for their HEXACO Personality Inventory. Based on their works, Drs. Lee and Ashton recently wrote a book for general audiences titled "The H Factor of Personality: Why Some People Are Manipulative, Self-Entitled, Materialistic, and Exploitive--And Why It Matters for Everyone".
