Course Description

Learn how to talk about the past events using both the preterit and the imperfect past tenses. Practice your conversational and writing skills while gaining more insight into the cultural aspects of the Spanish-speaking world. This class is taught mainly in Spanish.

Course Details

Upon successful completion of this Spanish course, you will be able to:

  • Converse about past events using simple past tenses (preterit and imperfect)

  • Understand and use vocabulary related to daily routines, food preparation, shopping for groceries, renting an apartment, and parts of a house

  • Write short paragraphs in Spanish about yourself and your daily routines using the past tenses

  • Examine aspects of some Latin American cultures

Prerequisites

SPA 103 Spanish 3 or equivalent level of fluency as determined by the department. Call (403) 220-2866 if more information is required.
