Course Description

Discover the essential capabilities and creative applications of InDesign by learning the workspace and features. Create rich layouts and multi-column pages. Learn to combine text and graphics, including vector graphics from Illustrator and raster images from Photoshop. This course is for those who want to produce high quality documents for digital and print media.

Course Details

Course assignments are application based; at the end of the course, you may be able to use some of this work to build your portfolio.

The software used in this course is Adobe InDesign CC, which may be downloaded from Adobe at student pricing. No prior versions are taught or reviewed.

Classes are held online in real time (Mountain Time) at the specified time and dates.

You will require access to a computer with the required software, Internet connection, a headset with speakers and microphone, webcam, and a monitor large enough to display multiple applications (or the use of two monitors).

This course uses Desire2Learn (D2L), an online learning management system, and Adobe Connect (AC) web conferencing software. The instructor will post your course outline and other materials in D2L. If you are unfamiliar with the D2L and AC learning tools it is strongly recommended to take BMC 352 Learning Online prior to enrolling in this course.
